Look for the Good

Hello, Friends!  This has been a good day/ bad day
and so much has happened and it is only 9:00 a.m.
Good:  I stretched, colored, had coffee, and I made this card for a challenge and managed to follow the sketch AND colors needed.
And used this cute image from MFPSS
I guess I am thinking of holidays ahead.

There were a few minor incidents while flinging gesso off the brush,
but things were still going well.
And then, while I was standing and finishing the card,
this shelving unit/storage cabinet made a terrible creaking sound and
started to fall toward me.

All the contents were crashing down
as I struggled to hold it steady.

It was pulling away from its backing and
the unit was so heavy, all I could do was brace it
and while I pondered my options.
I managed to get it onto my shoulder
as I heard things crashing around me.
Many of the items fell onto the counter top.

Many fell to the floor and some even rolled into the
next two rooms.  Containers were cracked
and things were scattered everywhere.

Now that I have swept away about a million micro beads,
I have begun the sorting process.

What's good about all this?
My card was finished and I have the opportunity
to sort and sift my craft supplies
and reinforce this cabinet.

Won't my husband be surprised/horrified
when he gets home from disc golf!

I will share this card at

Wow, good thing you thought fast!! I am glad you weren't hurt and I'm sorry for the work ahead of you. I had a set of shelves do the same thing last year. I had four shelves 5 feet wide goin up the wall, all loaded with paper. I heard the creaking and then somehow shoved it back against the wall, hubby and son were home so after I did some hollering they came to the rescue. hlf the paper hit the floor, took a day to put it all back together! Your Card came out great!!Thank you for joining the Word Art Wednesday Challenge #216! Ginny M, DT WAW
