2016 in Review

Hello, Friends!  I thought I would share some of my favorite projects from the past year. They are in no particular order, but I hope you will enjoy them and let me know which you like the most.  Happy New Years!  May we all be happy, healthy, and crafty in 2017!

Hello Beautiful Butterflies

We have a sketch for you today for the Speedy Fox and Friends/MFP Stamp Shop Challenge.  The background paper was made on watercolor paper using the same pad but had been filed away in my stash.  I used the stamp set Flower Blocks and the butterflies stamped with a Kaleidocolor rainbow stamp pad.  Then I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Adirondack denim blue from the Swallowtail set.

It's a gray and rainy day here today so this card brightened my spirits.  Hope it will brighten yours enough for you to join us and try our sketch!

Stamp Your Top/Center Layer at SFF

Challenges bring out the best in me.  They force me to think outside the box and come up with new ideas to meet the challenge.  This week at the MFP Stamp Shop Blog/SFF, we have an interesting challenge.  You layer your card in some way and stamp only in the center of the top layer.  Wait until you see what the rest of the DTs came up with.  They are all so different.  Won't you join us?

This is a 4x4 card and I'm giving you a sneak peek of a new release.  Do you love that little bling butterfly on the "latch" of the card?

Layer Upon Layer

This week on the MFP Stamp Shop Blog, we are working with 4 or more layers on a card for the Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge.  Maybe I should send this to a Gator fan because it is all oranges and blues.   It is definitely a "card of many layers" like Joseph's coat of many colors and inside I have an additional message and image.  So don't be a silly goose and join us on the MFP Stamp Shop blog and for the SFF Challenge.

Nighty Night and Punches and Dies

Start your creative week with a challenge.  Use punches and dies and come and join us at the Friends of Speedy TV challenge.  I stamped on an acetate and punched stars inside and out.  It's a little like a variation of a shaker card, but the stars don't move.

Oriental Happy Birthday and a Little Bling/OS 33

Happy Saturday!  I have an Oriental-themed card for you today to encourage you to enter a challenge sponsored by Mark's Finest Papers/ Speedy TV.  I used a stamp set called Wealthy Fish and the MFP HB sentiment as well.  I heat embossed, painted with Twinkling H2O's, distressed the paper edges, and added bling.
