Rain Days: Think of Spring

When you have 11 straight days  of rain

and don't see the sun,

you choose flower images to brighten your days.

I chose Dogwood Blossoms and the color pink

to brighten up the gray and drizzly days.

The MFP/SFF challenge this week 

wants us to heat emboss with white ep and color the back of an image.

I thought the dogwood flowers would be perfect

and the sentiment would fit many occasions.

I love how it turned out

and hope you like it too!

With Sympathy

It's Kren here again telling you to get our your embossing pad

because we're going to emboss images with clear ep

for the SFF challenge this week on the

MFP Stamp Shop blog.

Do you finding yourself needing a sympathy card

at a time when you don't really want to work on one?

I am adding to my reserve cards today

with a set called Marsh Silhouettes.

So much to like and use in this stamp set.

Here's my card.

Marsh Silhouettes

We're using a new technique

with inks, stencils, and water at the

MFP Stamp Shop/SFF challenge this week.

We have a tutorial that you can follow here.

Every stencil will create a subtle and different effect,

but you are sure to like each one.

You could almost call it "selective blurring."
I have a stack of bg's done now, ready for 
a wonderful MFP silhouette image.
I chose Marsh Silhouettes for my image
and sentiment for this particular one.

Better Late Than Never

Sometimes you have to send a card late.

It just happens.  It's on the calendar.

It's on your mind.  But it just doesn't get mailed on time.

This may be the best kind of occasion type card to have on hand.

We're using a technique called

Monochromatic Layered Stamping 

at the MFP/SFF blog challenge 

andI love green...so here it is....

Tips:  Don't have the right color ribbon?  Drag your ink pad along your ribbon to dye it,
Now you have the perfect color ribbon!
Don't have the right color card stock?  Sponge ink around the edge of the card stock as if making a messy "frame".  Now you have the perfect shade!

Highlight with a Little Sparkle

Our challenge this week at

MFP/SFF asks you to use a big sentiment

and a small stamp and to 

highlight the small stamp

I used my Wink of Stella to highlight my little butterflies.

I am hoping the diagonal design

with angled embossing also

highlights the focal point.

We're rounding the corners at the

I chose a medallion stamp and

just kept rounding all the corners.

'Tis the Season

It's time to make more holiday cards

or the season will sneak up on you.

I decided to make a holiday card

using a ghosting embossing technique.

MFP/SFF wants us to make 3 panel cards and

Ice Skating Fun for WCMD

Where I live, ice skating an option

unless you can find an indoor rink.

So maybe that is why I like the idea of ice skating so much.

This card shows how to create a collage stamp look

without a collage stamp.
