Better Late Than Never

Sometimes you have to send a card late.

It just happens.  It's on the calendar.

It's on your mind.  But it just doesn't get mailed on time.

This may be the best kind of occasion type card to have on hand.

We're using a technique called

Monochromatic Layered Stamping 

at the MFP/SFF blog challenge 

andI love green...so here it is....

Tips:  Don't have the right color ribbon?  Drag your ink pad along your ribbon to dye it,
Now you have the perfect color ribbon!
Don't have the right color card stock?  Sponge ink around the edge of the card stock as if making a messy "frame".  Now you have the perfect shade!

Hello Friends and a Happy New Year to you all!

Here's one of the cards I made to inspire you to try her images, Get Well Little Bear.

  

I challenged myself to use designer paper that was in my stash forever and a MS border punch that doesn't get a lot of use. It's one of my New Year's resolutions to use it or lose it!

TIP:  The colors seemed too bright for the little bear image.  How would that little sick bear get to sleep?  So I dry brushed some medium paint onto the designer paper and used the same paint to dry brush my border punch edging. I used a trick that generally uses gesso, but my gesso is at my alternate crafting location so I had to substitute some acrylic paint in my stash.
