Inspired by a Photo

Hello, Friends.  I am sharing a card made from a photo inspiration.  I just love tulips but in Florida, unless you purchase then in the grocery store, you're not going to have tulips.  So I pulled out all my tulip dies, stamps, and digitals and colored away.  

It was quite a quest since I file items in very creative ways.  One tulip set was filed with bunnies because the largest image had a bunny among the tulips.  So it is quite a surprises to me that I didn't get distracted and actually completed a card that will go to a friend shortly.  Here it is!  It uses IO Stamps dies and MFP Stamp Shop, now out of business.

Happy Birthday Flowers

Hello, Friends!  

I have a birthday card to share today from the MFP Stamp Shop.  The image and sentiment are from a stamp set called Background Diamonds and Flowers Set.

It combines favorites:  flowers, lavender and purple, heat embossing, and a bold sentiment.

Can't ever have too many birthday cards on
hand.

Hello, Friends!  How do you 
choose a stamp set or image
to use on a card?  I have a 
tendency to choose a set based
on the memory it evokes.  It 
can be a place that we have 
visited, or a person I know, or
something I have experienced.
It can also be because the 
sentiment rings true.  This is
such a set--called On the Fly from the MFP Stamp Shop. 

I made the card for a friend on our mountain who had just retired.  Perfect!

Need Coffee

Java Time from the MFP Stamp Shop

Hello, Friends! Recently the power went out on our mountain and in neighboring communities as well.  We had water in jugs in the refrigerator, and water we could boil  or tote to bathrooms because we live on a stream.   This was not a quick outage.  We couldn't leave  the mountain for two days because a tree was over a power line.We spent the whole weekend the old fashioned way. So after it was all over, I made my list.  At the top?  A French press coffee maker because pouring boiling water slowly through a coffee maker yielded mixed results and we were not happy.  So now I own a French press which makes a delicious 8 cups of coffee and I am ready for the next power outage.  

Fingers crossed that it doesn't come too soon!

Granddaughters love bunnies and it
seems they are appropriate all year 
long!  When I saw this bunny "hiding"
in front of the lilies from the Blessings 
set, I knew who would receive a card with this image.

It was a challenge to keep myself
from coloring in every detail,
but I liked the image on the kraft, and color combination with just the pink dry-brushed gesso background to carry all the color.

Owl Be Seeing You

This little owl image from Animal Birthdays at MFP Stamp Shop is so much fun to use.

I love to add wiggle eyes to him 

so that he moves.  He's on a z-fold card so he moves when you open the card but he is always in sight!

Hello Beautiful!

I love to share MFP Stamp Shop card
samples with you.  Today, I thought
I would share a card that mixes
an MFP sentiment with the use of
die cuts.  The sentiment is from 
the set called Tiger Lily.

A friend had gifted some beautiful
gold embossed background paper
that reminded me of peacock 
feathers so out came a freebie
die from a UK magazine.  Then I paired
it with a fancy metal tag die and a banner die.
