It's a girl thing! Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Join us for our blog hop.  It's a girl thing!

Hello Blogging Friends!!

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born with only one X chromosome, instead of two, leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,500 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Thirty-two caring Sponsors and five DT Members have partnered with us to bring Turner Syndrome Awareness to the Public. For details on how you might win any of these fabulous prizes, please see Lori's TS home page. Thanks for learning About Turner Syndrome

6 talented and caring designers are offering prizes on their personal blogs as well:

My TS related project is inspired by the TSA official color board:

Fork in the Road?

Hello, Friends.  Happy Friday!
I am happy to share a project with you today
 using the wonderful sentiments
from The Project Bin.
As an ex-English teacher, I love word play and quotations.
This quotation from Yogi Berra from the Wise Men set is a favorite.
I mean, really, what choice do we all have?

This card combines a photo found online, a die cut, and
the wonderful sentiment.
Now which guy am I going to send this one to?

See you next Friday!

Hello and Goodbye

Hello, friends.
It's Twofer Tuesday and I have two projects
to share for Cheapo Dies.

The first card uses Floral Hello.
I made an acetate card with this sentiment as the focal point.

Floral Hello

The second card is a pop out card that with a sentiment
that says goodbye.
As much as I love butterflies, I am always
so sad to realize they are with us for such a brief time.

Thank you for stopping in and

Sending Prayers and Hugs

Hello, friends.  It's Tuesday
and I'm sharing a project using Cheapo Dies.

Not everyone knows the gray
is the color for brain cancer awareness.
My friend was recently diagnosed and has begun chemo.
The Awareness Butterfly is one of my favorite
dies from Cheapo Dies so I wanted to use it for her card.
She is a strong lady who will fight this disease
and I hope my prayers will be answered.

See you next Tuesday!

Pastel Hearts

Hello, Friends. Happy Tuesday!
It's kReN@afourthlife here sharing another project
using some of the wonderful products from Cheapo Dies
It's been awhile since I have done a
Tuefer Tuesday, but I have two cards for today.
I taught a class using the freezer paper masking technique
and made two more cards as samples using watercolors again.
Remember, I promised you more cards
using this technique
and here they are.

The first card is an A2 size card using
a heart doily that just peeks around the edges.

And a 5 x 5" card using a doily as a frame.

Watercolored Heart Frame

Hello, Friends. Happy Tuesday!
It's kReN@afourthlife here sharing another project
using some of the wonderful products from Cheapo Dies.
Today I am using the Heart Frame and the love sentiment
from Loads of Love.

Tuesday Tips:

I used a new technique for this card called freezer paper masking.  I cut the Heart Frame die from freezer paper and ironed it onto watercolor paper.  I watercolored around the image and peeled up the mask when it was dry.  I added Nuvo Drops to the flower centers, and cut the sentiment three times and put it on the card.  I debated about adding some sequins, but in the end, I loved the subtle sherbet colors of the card.
It was a fun technique and I will share another card soon using this technique.

using some of the wonderful products from Cheapo Dies.
Today I am using Wheat.

Here's my Tuesday Tip:
It's difficult to sit down and make a sympathy card when you are sad.
Have a few on hand so you can focus on the caring message you will write inside.

Flaunt Your Inner Flamingo

Hello, Friends. Happy Tuesday!
It's kReN@afourthlife here sharing another project using
wonderful products from Cheapo Dies.
Today I am using Flamingo.

I love flamingoes!  I call myself a flamingo
because I am a native Floridian who flies north to spend time in the summer.
When I saw this dies, of course, it spoke to me.
Cute, isn't it!

It's Kren here sharing another project using some of the
wonderful products from Cheapo Dies
Today I am using Christmas Tree and Holly Branch.

And here are the Tuesday Tips for creating this project.
Sometimes thinking small pays off because you can tuck it
under the ribbon of a gift or insert in a regular envelope for a gift.
Work in the same color families during a work session for easy assembly of
elements and embellishments.

Here are the Tuesday Tips for creating this project.
Dry embossing vellum adds a lot of texture.
Poinsettias aren't symmetrical so have some fun with the petals and leaves.
