In Case No One Told You Today...

Hello, Friends.
Today I am using the wonderful sentiments
from The Project Bin to cheer up a friend. I am using  a set called  #bff.

I used an embossing folder with a cut out heart and colored it with bold colors.
Then I dry brushed with gesso to add texture and soften the colors.
Inserting the stamped sentiment and adding the arrow completed the process.

See you next Friday!

HB Pretty Lady

Hello, Friends.
I love to mix embossing folders with sentiments and embellishments.
Today I am using  Birthday Girl and a fancy embossing folder
and a sentiment from The Project Bin.

Inking up the inside of the embossing folder creates a beautiful background and then I sponged Distress Oxide Ink on the sentiment.

Tool Box Card--PDE Linky Challenge #15

Hello, Friends.  It's time to make more masculine cards for my stash.  For the PDE Linky Challenge this week, it's "anything goes."  So here is my take on a tool box card with bright, primary colors for someone special I know. I think the embossing folders and die cuts just make this card!  Join us this week!

Thinking of You

Second only to birthday cards, thinking of you cards have to be in my stash.  This type of card fits so many occasions and seem to fly off to the post office.  Today, my card is a little different for a Florida girl. We don't have Winter Crocus in Florida.  I have some daffodils on my kitchen table right now, but I don't remember ever seeing a Winter Crocus so it's fun to do a card with one.  Mr. Google had to help me with the colors.  Flourishes had just what I needed.  It's part of the Year of Flowers sets and is called Year of Flowers 1.

Flourishes supplies:  Classic Card Stock, Year of Flowers 1
Other supplies:  sentiment die, ribbon, Promarkers, Copic Markers, Chameleon Markers, Tombow Adhesive, Momento Dye Ink

Don't forget to follow us on the Flourishes Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/Flourisheslc/    and

Here's my card, celebrating my need for coffee
RIGHT after we walk each morning.

You Are Tweet!

It's Wonderful Wednesday.  I love to share images from Just For Fun Stampsand this month, it's all about the birds and backgrounds for my cards.  In Florida, we don't have snow and we still have greenery so our birds keep arriving all winter from the North to share our milder temperatures.  If only we could keep the squirrels and raccoons out of the feeders!  So here's the Small Warbler image with a direct to paper technique and dry embossing to make those winter blues FLY away!

Stockings and Flamingos

Hello, Friends!
It’s Kren from A Fourth Life,
here again to share a holiday card with you.

My first card should bring a smile.
I call myself a "flamingo" because I am a native Floridian who flies north
for a period of time.  I am not a "snowbird" that flies south for the winter.
Plus, in Florida, we celebrate Christmas different from you northerners.
My card today tries to capture that spirit.

UMS 7018 Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet

And for you northerners, here is a more traditional image.
It uses the Stamptangle Stocking image E3855.
Heat embossed with black EP and then
painted with Twinkling H20’s.
It is mounted against a brick embossed background
that was wiped with weathered wood distress ink.
The mini mantel is a window sill die
from Poppystamps.
Do you have stockings hanging on your mantel this year?
Not as many Floridians will!

Counting My Blessings

Thanksgiving is a perfect time to count your blessings.  The Autumn Words embossing folder by Cuttlebug captures my list.  Hope, Thankful, Faith, Love, Harvest, Autumn...and too many Blessings to list.  I used the Stitchy Fall set.  Deedee's Digis sponsors many challenges and we're giving away prizes for the Outlawz challenge right now.  You should join in on the fun and share what you are thankful for.

Let's Go Trick or Treating!

Thanks for stopping by A Fourth Life so I can share some Halloween cards
using a darling Just for Fun Stamps silhouette image called
C346 Trick or Treaters as my focal point.

Where we live in the mountains, we don't get cute, little munchkins
holding bags and proudly displaying their costumes.
So when I saw this silhouette image, I knew
it would find a home at my house.

The cards started with designer paper, a tree die cut, and a moon silhouette idea.
I ended up with two cards with the same layout because I liked parts of both.
And wasn't it great that my new alphabet dies came just in time!
You can let me know which of the cards you like best.

And card two...

Thanks for stopping by to see my spooky creation!

Weaving with Fall Cards

Hello, Friends.  Here I am with a card in fall colors.  I know it's the middle of summer and the temperatures are hot, hot, hot, but we can dream of fall, can't we?  Plus, everyone is thinking beach cards, have several underway, but I am longing for fall!  Today's criss cross card uses a weaving technique on the MS border-punched belly band.  It's a ribbon that I just love because it has lots of lovely colors in it. and I am happy to say I have a whole ball of it.
The heat-embossed tag is a lovely sectioned collage with fall items and the names of the months going around the outside. There is room to include a message at the bottom of the tag.  The whole card is dry-embossed with a plaid embossing folder.
I will enter it in the following challenges:
