Renewing Friendships

Hello, Friends.
Happy Friday!
Let's set a goal this year to renew friendships.
Pick up the phone, text, or best yet, send a card to a friend.

I am happy to wear my DT hat for The Project Bin today
using the set called #bff.
The #bff set is perfect for sending all kinds of wishes to friends.

I chose a quilt frame die and made two variations.
The first card is a "thinking of you" card
and will surely brighten someone's day.

The second card will also fit many occasions
because friendship really does refresh the soul.

See you next Friday!

It's time for another Craftaholics R Us Challenge.
This week the theme is birds.
I used to create owl figures;  now I collect owl images.

To inspire you to join us, I have created this project.

Won't you join us this week?

Country Charm Quilt

at WPlus9.  I love their dies and stamps
because they have just that touch of modern country charm
that makes me happy and brings me comfort.

Here's my card.

And then I had to make another one because I plan to celebrate
WCMD for a few days longer!

Quilt with Some Bling

Hi!  I have a card called Quilt with Some Bling to share with you.  I always think that black makes yellow really pop and I love quilts.  It's a card where all the stamping is on the inside because I didn't want to cover any of the quilt patterns, but it would be a design used for any occasion.  It's for a challenge at Mark's Finest Papers at http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com/  Thanks for stopping by!

Friends Are Like Quilts

Hello again, friends!  Do I love quilts?  Or do I love the idea of snuggling under the weight of it on a cool evening?  Is it the patterns or colors?  The mix-and-match of a quilt?  Who knows what it is, but when I saw a Tutorial Challenge at MFP/SpeedyTV for quilt frames, I knew I was going to try one.  I chose a dry embossing technique for the card base, assembled all my little squares, and then created the frame with label dies.  I love this oldie goldie, retired SU sentiment that seems appropriate for a quilt frame card.  We're having a "cool" front again in FL so those crotons have taken another field trip to in front of my sunny kitchen window.  So, friends, do you love quilts? This quilt frame card will also be entered into a challenge at Word Art Wednesday.

Homespun July 4th

While the Santa eyes are drying, I had time to play with my limited number of stamps I managed to pack to bring north.  I found a jar stamp and filled it with hearts.  That started the idea forming.  Use up strips of red, white, and blue cs to create a herringbone quilt background.  Add a USA heart and mount them all on a white-striped background.  I like the end result and it makes me feel patriotic in a homey sort of way. Smile!

A Walk in Winter

We've had some pretty gray and cold days recently in Florida.  We even had snow in Pensacola which is unusual.  I can attribute this A...
